Frequently Asked Questions

What types of businesses do you work with?

We work with all types of Federal Firearms Licensees (FFLs), including gun shops, gunsmiths, manufacturers, shooting ranges, and retail stores with firearms sales.

What is a Bound Book review and why is it important?

Your bound book must accurately record every firearm acquired and disposed of. Mistakes here are one of the fastest ways to lose your license. We review your entries for accuracy, missing information, and timing errors — helping you avoid serious violations.

What happens if I fail an ATF inspection?

If an ATF inspection finds violations, you could receive a warning letter, warning conference, or even have your license revoked. Minor errors add up quickly. Our pre-inspection audits and 4473 reviews help you catch and fix issues before the ATF finds them.

How often should I conduct a compliance audit?

We recommend a full compliance audit at least twice a year — and a mini-audit every 3 months. If you have new staff or recent changes in inventory processes, more frequent checks can protect you even further.

Do you help new FFL holders?

Yes! We offer consulting for new FFL applicants to ensure their setup, paperwork, and procedures are compliant from day one. We also help existing FFLs establish strong internal compliance systems.

Is your service confidential?

100%. We treat every audit, consultation, and review with strict confidentiality. We work for you — not the ATF — and our goal is to protect your license, your business, and your reputation.
